Nancy Banister

Nancy E. Banister, 76, passed away on December 19 2018 at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City, IL. Nancy was born on March 29, 1942 in Knox County the daughter of Henry Glee and Laura (Twitty) Fender. She married Alfred Banister on May 14, 1959 and he survives.Nancy was a graduate of Decker High School. She enjoyed taking care of her children and grandchildren, singing and playing the piano. Nancy was always there for her family.Survivors include her husband, Alfred Banister of Granite City, IL; daughters, Barb Barker and her husband Tony of Tomball, TX, Missy Williams and her husband Kent of Oblong, IL; sons, Al Banister and his wife Barb of Tipp City, OH, Mike Banister and his fianc Mary Jo of Princeton; nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Henry Glee and Laura Fender.Friends may visit with Nancy's family from noon until 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, IN. Nancy's funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm on Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Jay Howder officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
