Nancy Judith "Judy" (Kelso) Huff, 81, of Vincennes, left this world for her heavenly home on November 20, 2020 with her family by her side at the Lodge of the Wabash. Judy was most certainly greeted with open arms by her husband of nearly 60 years, Jon Huff, who preceded her in death.Judy was the fifth of six children born to Lloyd and Nancy Kelso on July 29, 1939 in Vincennes, IN. Her siblings included Montah Jeanine Kelso, Mary Ellen (Paul) Kocher, Charles Joseph Kelso, Larry Lloyd Kelso, and Lowell Fred (Linda) Kelso. Montah, Mary, Paul, Charles and Larry preceded her in death, along with both of her parents.Judy was a proud graduate of Lincoln High School, class of 1957, and was a regular attendee at the annual class reunions until failing health in recent years kept her away.Jon and Judy raised three children together, who carry on their legacy today: Jana (David) Yochum, of Vincennes, Bradley (Deidra) Huff of Watkinsville, GA, and Jason (Angela) Huff of Greencastle. Judy was also blessed with grandchildren: Jonathan Yochum and wife, Samantha; Laura Yochum and partner, Ashley Scott; Miles Huff, Mallorie Huff, Benjamin Huff, and Owen Huff.Judy was a believer and a follower of Jesus Christ. She faithfully prayed over friends and family and shared her faith openly with those in her life. She held membership at Upper Indiana Presbyterian at the time of her death, but also spent many years with the congregation at the Indiana Presbyterian Church where wonderful memories were made through fellowship with the "CIC" Sunday school class. In addition to being a wife, mother, and homemaker, Judy worked at G. F. Osterhage Lumber, Sears & Roebuck, Vincennes University and as a Rural Letter Carrier for the US Postal Service. She was the first female letter carrier in Knox County and took pride in her role to serve the community. Judy retired from the USPS in August of 1999.After retirement she and Jon enjoyed spending winters in Estero, Florida for several years.Judy loved playing cards, dominoes, Sequence, shuffleboard and just about any board game. She had a competitive spirit and even as her memory failed her in recent years due to a battle with Alzheimer's, she could still soundly beat her grandsons in a game of Euchre.Judy will be remembered for her sweetness, her faith, her laugh, and her genuine love of family and friends, including the family who cared for her at the Lodge of the Wabash. She was frequently heard saying "I Loves You" as nurses and aids cared for her during her stay in the nursing home.Friends and family are welcomed to join a graveside service at the Upper Indiana Presbyterian Cemetery on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 2PM.
