Nina Anthony

Nina Virginia Darlene Anthony, 76, of Owensville, IN went to be with the Lord September 10, 2020 while surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 28, 1944 in Owensville, IN to the late Mary and Samuel Johns. Nina earned her Cosmetology certification in the 80's. She owned and operated her own nail salon. Nina also served as an aquatic's instructor for Carmel Yacht Club in Carmel, IN. She loved to be around water, especially South Beach Miami, FL. Nina adored her family and believed in having a strong bond with each other. She was a woman of strong faith and attended her church, Emmanuel Lutheran Church, until she was no longer physically able. Nina was preceded in death by her parents Samuel and Mary Johns and brother Darvin L. Johns. She is survived by her children Francheska R. Bennett and Glenn "Pete" (Gina) Meredith; grandchildren Autumn Kemp, Austin Kemp, and Adrian Bennett; great grandchildren Elijah Kemp, Bella Kemp, Isaiah Kemp, Asher Kemp, Carter Martin, and Enoch Kemp; brother Sammy Johns Jr.; lifelong friend Sue Barrett; close friend Andrea Rose; and many nieces and nephews. Nina gifted her body to IU Medical School for valuable research. Nina believed that her contribution would aid the quality of life for others.
