Norman Earl Gilmore passed away September 18, 2024 at the home of his sister Rose and her husband Scott Ewing in Akron, Indiana.
Norman graduated from South Knox High School in 1974. He enlisted in the military with an honorable discharge. He lived in Florida for several years and worked at Rumrunners in Cape Coral, Florida where he made many lasting friends.
Norman loved his devoted dog, Tina. He also enjoyed reading, watching WWE, and football.
Norman leaves behind two brothers, Bryan Gilmore and his wife, Jolynn of Cordova, Tennessee and Clayton Gilmore and his wife, Cindi of Monroe City, Indiana; also four sisters, Sharon Seneff and her husband, Zeke of Mansfield, Texas, Belinda Trani of Ocean Pines, Maryland, Marlena Mason and her husband, Bennie of Vincennes, Indiana, and Rose Ewing and her husband, Scott of Akron, Indiana. Norman is survived by several nieces and nephews as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.
Norman was born on August 23, 1955 in Monroe City, Indiana to Richard and Florence Gilmore who preceded him in death, along with two nephews, Shawn Christophe and Nathan; and a brother in law, Frank S. Trani.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at Mt. Zion Cemetery at 10:30 am. Pastor Trevor Murry will be officiating. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care of Norman.
