Norman Michael, 78, formerly of St. Francisville, IL, passed away Jan. 12, 2013, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes. Born Apr. 27, 1934, in Washington, IN, he was the son of Zelma (Miley) Michael. His mother preceded him, as well as his grandparents, Henry and Lula Miley; uncle, Eugene (Maxine) Miley; aunts, Mary (Woodrow) Briner, Norma (Dale) Patterson, and Shirley (Lester) Hawley; and his cousins, Brenda Briner, Jerry Briner, and Timmy Miley. Surviving is an aunt, Dora Mae Miley of Lawrenceville, IL; an uncle, Emmet (Cora) Miley; and his cousins, Ella Mae Tweety, David Miley, Debra Jean Tucker, Malinda Miller, John Briner, Sharon Hardiman, Mike Hawley, Marilyn Sanders, Carla Klincar, Teena Aplers, Dennis Miley, and Carrie Stump. Norman was a 1953 graduate of St. Francisville High School, and an Army veteran. He had worked at Hill's Dept. Store, and Albert's Men Store in Vincennes. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, at 2:00 EDT, at Goodwin Funeral Home in Vincennes, with Rev. Don Smith officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1:00 - 2:00 EDT.
