Norman Ray Roark, 70, of Bruceville, passed away at 6:30 am Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at his home with his wife at his side.He was born December 4, 1949 in Knox County, Indiana to Norman Albert and Emily (Faith) Roark.Norman had worked as a millwright, electrician, carpenter, and served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. His memberships included the Bicknell United Methodist Church, American Legion, V.F.W. French Club, Bruceville Rod and Gun Club.Norman was a CASA volunteered, fostered many children, and served as a leader in the boy scouts and cub scouts. An avid Harley rider, he enjoyed working on motorcycles, fishing, and hunting, and loved his children as they came before anything. Surviving are his wife Sue (Deisher) Roark whom he married on January 26, 2008; his mother Emily Roark of Bicknell; his children Bryce Roark of Bruceville, Hunter Roark, both of Bruceville, Pasha (Heather) Roark of Bicknell, Michelle (Rick Donner) Willis, Haley Roark of Vincennes, Brandon Boyer of Vincennes, James Boyer of Vincennes, and Bryce Boyer of Vincennes; twenty-two grandchildren and twelve greatgrandchildren; his brothers Aaron Messer of Indiana, Bill Messer of Washington, Floyd Edward Messer, Brad Ellerman, and Linda LeGrand of Florida.He was preceded in death by his father and brothers Jimmy Messer, and Mark Ellerman.Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 to 6:00 pm Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Goodwin-Sievers, 524 Broadway, Vincennes.
