Opal L. Williams, 91, of Vincennes, passed away at 6:25 p.m. February 26, 2013 at BridgePointe Health Campus. She was born March 28, 1921 in Solway, Minnesota to Henry & Emma Margaret (Nordine) Lee.Opal was a member of the St. John United Church of Christ in which she belonged to the Women's Guild. She was a 52 year member of the Eastern Star #22 in Boone County. Opal was an administrator of two nursing homes in Boone County and also served as deputy auditor of Boone County. She was proud of her travels as she traveled in all 50 states and 14 countries. Surviving are her children, Linda (Bob) Murawski of Vincennes, Brenda (Tom) Haislet of Washington, NC, twins sons, Allan (Carolyn) Williams of Lawrence, KS and Alvin (Melissa) Williams of Winchester, Indiana;7 grandchildren, Chandra Haislet Lane, Rob Murawski, Michael Murawski, Patrick Williams, Stephanie Lake, Dianne Williams, and Kelly Lang; 7 great grandchildren, Emma and Bella Murawski, Wesley and Layla Murawski, Katherine Opal Lane, Kyle Lane, and Melissa Lang; along with several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Melvin Williams, whom she married December 7, 1945 and passed on January 6, 1978, and four brothers, Harlan Lee, Myron Lee, Dennis Lee, and Alvin Lee.Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday March 2, 2013 at St. John United Church of Christ. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the service time Saturday at the church. Additional services will be held on Saturday from 5-6 p.m. at Myers Mortuary in Lebanon followed by a committal service. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
