Orpha Lee Hornbrook, 88, 4520 S. DeBord Road of Wheatland passed away on October 12, 2011 at her residence. Orpha was born in Bartlesville, OK, on October 11, 1923, the daughter of Joseph A. and Lessie (Duvall) Kelley. She married Lawrence Hornbrook in December of 1949. Orpha retired from Harper College in Palantine, IL. Survivors include her husband, Lawrence Hornbrook of Wheatland; daughters, Debbie Taylor and husband Dana of Monroe City, Margaret Ann Mize and husband Don of Monroe City; son, Larry Hornbrook and wife Lisa of Garden Prairie, IL ; grandchildren, Brittany Worland, Kenzie Taylor, Don Mize Jr., Michael Mize, Annette Mize, great grandchildren, Allyson and Alaynie Mize . Orpha was preceded in death by 4 sisters and 1 brother. Private graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 14, 2011 at Walnut Hill cemetery in Petersburg, IN with Pastor Mark Nielson officiating. There will be no visitation.
