Orval Davison

January 19, 1923 — November 20, 2011

Orval Davison, 88, formerly of Vincennes, passed away Sunday, Nov. 20, at his daughter's home in Indianapolis. He was retired from Vincennes Paper Mill, and also worked as a custodian at Security Bank. During WWII Orval served in the Army, and was part of the invasion at Normandy. He was a member of the Central Church of Christ. The son of Roy Edgar & Margaret (Dillon) Davison, he was born Jan. 19, 1923 in Vincennes. Orval''s preceding family members include his parents; siblings Wilma Myers, Loretta Moyes, Maxine Baxley, Albert Davison, Zerilda Davison, and Adebelle Shoulders; and his wife, Wilma June (Cox) Davison. Survivors include his daughter, Penny (Greg) Cassetty of Indianapolis, IN; his sister, Jacqelyn Webber, & brothers Virgil & Verle "Butch" Davison, all of Vincennes. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Nov. 23, from 12:00 - 2:00 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway. A funeral service will follow at 2:00. Interment will be at Shaker Prairie Cemetery.
