Orval Stephens

Paul Stephens Sr., 73, of Vincennes, IN passed away August 21, 2022. He was born to the late Floyd L. and Ruby Lee (Harmon) Stephens on February 23, 1949, in Vincennes, IN. Paul graduated from South Knox High School in 1968. He married, the love of his life, Janie Louise Hawkins on July 20, 1968. Paul worked from many years as a self-employed farmer. He enjoyed many things in life such as arrowhead hunting, yard work, wood working, watching and feeding hummingbirds, spending time with his family, cooking, feeding squirrels, and baking his famous cinnamon rolls. Paul will be deeply missed by all. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers Claude Stephens, Russell Stephens, and Henry Stephens. Paul is survived by his wife, of 54 years, Janie Stephens; children Paul (Krista) Stephens Jr., Lori (Jeff) Blann, Nikki (Kenny) Landis; grandchildren Bianca (Darren) Boatman, Casey Stephens, Briston (Trey) Welton, Kearston Anderson, Luke Hale, Buddy Russell; 7 great-grandchildren; siblings Norman (Rita) Stephens, Virginia (Dick) Stephens, Mary (Terry) Miller, Katherine Stephens; family friends Mike and Sylvia Andis; and many nieces and nephews. Goodwin-Sievers is honored and entrusted with the care of Mr. Stephens. Visitation will be held August 25, 2022, at 524 Broadway St. from 12-1pm. A funeral service will be held August 25, 2022 at 1pm with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery to follow.
