Pamela Gail Pieper, 69, of 101 E Reiter, Sandborn, passed away Monday at 8:38 am March 23, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital.She was born August 6, 1945 in Detroit Michigan to Carson W. and Mary (Wise) Johnson. Pam was a member of the First Christian Church in Vincennes and attended the Salem United Church of Christ in Westphalia. She worked as a floral designer for 30 plus years catering the Rotary Club in Hartford City for four years and served as music and choir director in many churches in which her husband served. Pam loved flowers, cooking, and her home in Sandborn and attended Johnson Bible College for four years.Surviving is her husband, Rev. William "Bill" Pieper, whom she married August 21, 1968; a sister, Sharon R. Benedict of Grayville, IL; her brothers and sisters in laws, Carol (Lonnie) Etmeier of Sandborn, Sharon Noland of Anchorage, AK, Jim (Lois) Pieper of Sandborn, and Fred (Karen) Pieper of Bloomington; along with many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday March 28, 2015 at the Salem United Church of Christ in Westphalia with Rev. Brian Taylor and Rev. Steve Defields-Gambrel officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Friday at the Salem United Church of Christ.
