Pat Quinn

August 28, 1930 — July 19, 2023

Our beloved mother, Patricia L. Quinn passed away at home on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 after a long illness. Born August 28, 1930 she is predeceased by parents Irene Wallem Baecher and Carmen Winters, as well as stepfather Rudolph J. Baecher. Married in 1951 on his birthday of April 2, she lost her husband of 46 years, William D. Quinn in April, 1997. Pat was also predeceased by great-grandson Tyler Blake Eveland. Pat is survived by her 8 children: Susan Hundt(Bob) of Ohio; Mary K. Eveland, Terri Allen, Laura Vieck, all of Vincennes; Leslie Quinn(David Meaux) of Wake Forest, NC; Michael(Jill) Quinn and Tom Quinn, both of Madisonville KY; Tim(Kristy)Quinn of Hanson, KY. Her 14 surviving grandchildren are David Wieland(Trista Acebo) and Jared Hundt(Jennifer); Shawn Eveland(Tara) and Brittany Eveland(Scott Reed); Aaron Vieck and Kristen Zogbi(Stephen); Abigail Meaux and Rachel Meaux(Nevada Jordan); Barry Quinn(Abby), Ryan Quinn(Alex), Amy Quinn; Elliott Quinn, Cooper Quinn, Gavin Quinn. The 9 great-grandchildren are Isaiah, Jordan, Landon, and Keaton Eveland; Ella and Emerson Reed; Quinn and Sullivan Zogbi; and Kennedy Quinn. Besides her obviously large loving family, Pat loved nurturing her home's landscaping, reading, playing cards, and traveling to the homes of her out-of-state children. She took great pride in decorating her home for every season and holiday. She looked forward to her nightly calls from Aaron Vieck (her hunny bunny). Christmas was her favorite holiday. Her annual family Christmas gatherings were legendary. A family joke is the amount of food Mom would consider necessary to feed her clan…..half the contents of Jay C grocery! Her love for books led to a job as librarian at Washington Elementary School in August, 1976. Her 34 years there ended with her May, 2010 retirement when the school closed. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm Sunday, July 30, at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home. Private family Mass will be held Monday, July 31. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
