Patricia Thompson

Patricia S. Thompson, 75, passed away at 6:45 am on February 5, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Patricia was born on March 17, 1940 in Vincennes the daughter of Ralph and Helen (Martin) Gaines. She married Robert Thompson and he preceded her in death in 1998. Patricia enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and granddaughter. She also enjoyed staying up late playing cards with all of her friends at Jamestown and her grandchildren. She loved cooking, karaoke, and her dog Chicka, and enjoyed going out to eat and going to her great grandchildren's baseball games. Survivors include her son, Jeff Thompson and his wife Theresa of Lawrenceville; brother, Jim Gaines and his wife Georgetta of Vincennes; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Josh and Joey Thompson, Melissa Hope and her husband Deameatrice, Triston Thompson; twelve great grandchildren one great- great grandchild on the way; and daughter-in-law, Donna Thompson. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sons, Robert W. Thompson and Ralph Eugene Thompson; sisters, Betty Giles, Jenny Lucas, Barbara Clark, Dorothy Boger; and brothers, Bill Gaines and Bud Gaines. Funeral services for Patricia will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, February 8, 2016 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Pastor Pete White officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
