Patricia Wright- Madden

Patricia Anne Wright- Madden, 75, passed away at 6:13 pm on Monday, November 9, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital with her family and close friend Linda Fredrick by her side. Patricia was born on January 16, 1940 in Metropolis, IL the daughter of Dallas Jack and Marie Courter. Patricia was a bartender for several local bars for over forty years; and was currently the President of Piankeshaw Place Resident Council for thirteen years; a member of the Board of Commissioners of the Vincennes Housing Authority for eleven years; served on the FEMA Board; worked with Generations and volunteered a lot of her time to her friends and residents at Piankeshaw. Survivors include her son, Micheal Hilterbrand and his wife Terri of Rockville, IN; daughter, Debra Galvin and her husband Matthew of Wharton, TX; son, Charles Wright of Vincennes; daughter, Pam Carter of Vincennes; son, James Wright and his wife Stacee of Vincennes; daughter, Susan McClure and her husband Patrick of Vincennes; sister, Henri Smith of Anna, IL; brother, Ron Smith and his wife Margie of Metropolis, IL; sixteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and three on the way; one great-great grandchild and one on the way. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; brother's, Ike Rainbolt, Logan Rainbolt; and sister, Kathy Cates. Funeral services for Patricia will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 13, 2015 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway with Brother Everett Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with Patricia's family on Thursday, November 12 from 4-8 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Christian Education Foundation or the Vincennes Housing Authority Foundation.
