Patrick Wade Baracani Sr.

Patrick Wade Baracani Sr. was born on October 30, 1969, in Dixon, IL, and is the son of Frank and Laura (Peterson) Baracani. It is with heavy hearts that we announce his passing. Patrick was known for his love of NASCAR, particularly his admiration for Dale Earnhardt, and his passion for watching racecars. His dedication to the automotive industry was evident throughout his life, and he found joy in every moment spent tinkering with engines and perfecting bodywork.

Riding his motorcycle with a bandana trailing behind him, Patrick embodied a sense of freedom and adventure. His love for the open road was matched only by his enthusiasm for speed and skillful craftsmanship. He will be fondly remembered for his love of motorcycles and his fearless spirit as he navigated life's winding roads.

Patrick is survived by his parents, Frank and Laura; children, Taylor Baracani-McNeely, Patrick Baracani Jr., and Vincente Baracani;mother of his children, Kristy Melton; brothers, William Moritz (Julie) and Joseph Moritz; sister, Tonya Baracani-Thomas (Frank); nephew and niece, Frank Anthony Baracani-Thomas and Giavanna Baracani-Thomas; and uncle , Wade Peterson (Carol). He is now also reunited with his beloved cat, Pitters.

Memorial Contributions may be made to his children in lieu of flowers. Services will be private. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care of Patrick.

Patrick's memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those who had the pleasure of crossing paths or having a beer with him. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, and a deep-seated love for all things automotive.
