Patty Mounts

Patty Jo Mounts, 90, of Owensville, IN passed away February 27, 2022. She was born November 18, 1931, in Gibson County to parents, Alfred and Madeline (Williams) Racine. Patty graduated from Owensville High School in 1950 and married the love of her life, Hugh Alvin Mounts, October 7, 1950. They were blessed with almost 65 years together. She was a member of the Owensville General Baptist Church and was involved over a period of years in activities of the church including teaching Sunday school and starting the puppet ministry with her husband. Patty was a member of the Golden Fleece Chapter #176 Order of the Eastern Star and was a past matron. She also received her fifty year pen. Patty enjoyed spending time with her Great grandchildren, traveling with her daughters, Kimberly and Christine. She loved to garden, fish, and quilting. Patty is survived by her children Allen (Brenda) Mounts, Christine (Don) Cox, and Kimberly (Dr. Ronald) Kaneshiro; grandchildren Alexander Mounts, Rebecca Lansberry, Mark Cox, Rachel Deisner, and Andrew Kaneshiro; great grandchildren Eleanor, Augusta, Rutherford, and Martha Mounts, Linden and Alexa Lansberry, Mason and Drake Deisner, Bailey, Tucker Lee, Ein Sebastan, and Lilie Alexandra Cox; and nephews and nieces She was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents; parents; husband, Hugh; granddaughter, Lori Ann; sisters, Shirley, Judy, and Virginia. Holder's is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mrs. Mounts. A Graveside service will be held at Liberty Cemetery, Cynthiana, IN on March 1, 2022 with John Sloan officiating.
