Paul Drake

Rev. Paul E. Drake, 82, of Evansville, IN went to be with the Lord May 12, 2022. He was born April 23, 1940 in Logan, OH to the late George Nelson Drake and Mary Margaret (Alexander) Drake. Paul served his Lord by ministering to many Nazarene churches around Oklahoma, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois for 50 years. Six of those years were served right here in Owensville, IN at Owensville Nazarene Church. He furthered his studies of the bible at Olivet Nazarene University and earned a certificate. Paul married the love of his life Shirley and was blessed with three children. He enjoyed fishing during earlier years, reading and studying the bible, and working word search puzzles. Paul was loved deeply and will be missed dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Vicky Simpson; siblings Margie (Dana) Hacker, Mildred Maxine Williams, Bill Drake, Patricia L. (Paul) Kemp, Ted Drake, Mary Lou Drake, and George (Novella) Drake. Paul is survived by his wife Shirley; children Rebecca (Mark) Landon and Karen (Chris) Walton; grandchildren Tabitha Miller and Billy Gendren; 2 great grandchildren; and brother David (Nancy) Drake. Holder's Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Drake. Visitation will be held Monday, May 16, 2022 at Holders Funeral Home from 11-1p.
