Paul Helderman

Paul E. Helderman, 88, passed away at 11:11 pm on March 23, 2018 at Bridgepointe Health Campus. Paul was born on November 1, 1929 the son of Howard and Martha (Froeschke) Helderman. He married Mary Ellen Marchino on September 1, 1951. Paul served his country during the Korean Conflict in the United States Army and was stationed in Ft. Riley, KS. He was a farmer for several years and after retiring he drove a tractor and trailer hauling grain for Robinson Brothers Trucking and also a courtesy van for Dr. Frank Emert and Clearview Eye Center. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ellen Helderman of Vincennes; sons, Dan Helderman of Pearland, TX, Ed Helderman of Lititz, PA; brother, William Helderman of Vincennes; and grandchildren, Nicholas Edward Helderman, Marissa Kate Helderman, Blake Daniel Helderman, and Tia Ellen Helderman. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, half-brother, Bob Wonning, and sisters, Reba, Carolyn, and Loretta. Friends may visit with Paul's family on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 from 9-11 am at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 7000 S. Decker Road, Vincennes, IN. Funeral services for Paul will be held at the conclusion of visitation at 11:00 am at the church with Pastor Nathan Rastl officiating. Interment will follow in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery.
