Paul Cletus Holscher, 93, of Vincennes, IN went to be with the Lord November 9, 2021. He was born September 7, 1928 in Vincennes, IN, the 10th of 12 children, to the late Henry Francis and Emma Catherine (Wetzel) Holscher. Paul attended Sacred Heart Catholic School in Vincennes. He married the love of his life, Rita Marie (Halter) Holscher on April 16, 1952 and was a devoted husband of 67 years until Rita's passing on November 17, 2019. Paul was a lifelong farmer of grain and livestock. The beef he raised was the first certified-angus to be sold in Japan by Dawson Baker Packing Co. of KY. In the early 1970s he developed his own folding 12 row planter, 2 years before any equipment manufactures designed one. In the winter months after harvest, he enjoyed operating "Pappy" his D-7 caterpillar bulldozer. Paul was also a renowned story teller about his life experiences and shenanigans and never left out the any details. He will be deeply missed by many. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, of 67 years, Rita Holscher; son Duane Holscher; brothers William, Walter, Myrle, Maurice, and Henry "Bud" Holscher; sisters Ruth Primus, Elizabeth "Betty" Williams, Loretta Halter and Emma Purcell. Paul is survived by his children Wayne (Tammie) Holscher, Deborah (Glenn) Hagan, Brenda (Doug) Horrall, Pat (Lori) Holscher, Paula (Steve) Hill, Doug (Amy) Holscher and Gary Holscher; grandchildren Nicholas Holscher, Jeanmarie Hoke, Amanda Stevens, Joshua Stevens, Jacob Horrall, Danette Culver, Casey Farrell Holscher, Sonya Holloway, Adam Holscher, Alicia Hill, Lanea Holscher, Jaxson Holscher, Kaiden Holscher, Garrett Holscher, and Natalee Holscher; 15 great-granchildren; siblings Charles "Short" Holscher and Mary (Francis) Halter; close family friend, Dietrich Lane; and many nieces and nephews. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Holscher. A visitation will be held at St. John's Catholic Church, Vincennes, IN Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 11am-2pm. A service will take place following visitation at 2pm with Fr. Tony Ernst officiating. Burial will immediately follow at St. Vincent Cemetery.
