Paul Parker

Paul Lawrence Parker, 68, of 1074 N. McClure Road, Vincennes, passed away at 1:38 a.m. Sunday, March 20, 2011 at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born August 31, 1942 in Vincennes to Robert & Winifred (Westfall) Parker.Paul worked as a Construction Truck Driver and was a member of the Teamsters. He was a member of the First Church of God and enjoyed classic cars. He also was a driver for the Veteran Administration program driving fellow Veteran's to appointments.Surviving is his step father, Bill Foster , a son, Blake Parker, a sister, Pam Turner, his father, Robert Parker, step mother, Blanche Parker, a step brother, Denny Foster a half sister, Mary Matthews and four half brothers, John Parker, Tom Parker, Chad Parker, and Eric Parker .He was preceded in death by his mother, Winifred Foster, and a half sister, Leona McKay.A celebration of Paul's Life will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Rev. Georg Karl and Pastor Fred Nocus officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 5-8 Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Church on the street through the First Church of God.
