Pearl Fisher

January 24, 1924 — March 18, 2012

Pearl M. Fisher, 88, of Vincennes, passed away on Sunday, March 18, at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was a homemaker, and helped her husband, Ted, in his home building, by doing design work. Pearl was a member of the First Christian Church, and a honorary lifetime member of the Harmony Society. An avid reader, she enjoyed going to the Knox County Public Library. During WWII, Pearl worked at the airplane factory in Evansville. Born on January 24, 1924, in Vincennes, she was the daughter of Sheridan and Lena (Cox) Roach. They preceded her, along with her husband, Theodore "Ted" Fisher; brothers, Elmer, Dewey, Raymond, Arlie, and Bernard Roach; and her sisters, Mae Alexander and Addie Yarborough. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Short, of Vincennes; grandsons, James and Daniel Short; a great-granddaughter, Madlyn Short; a brother-in-law, Bill Fisher of Vincennes; and two special nieces, Patty White of Bicknell and Vicki Brubaker of Topeka, KS. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 21, at 10:00, with Rev. Rick Grant officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 5:00
