Peggy Emmons

Peggy Sue Emmons passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022 in Vincennes, Indiana at the age of 83. She was born in Central City Kentucky on July 18, 1939. Those left to cherish her memories include four children Tim Emmons wife Kathy, Becky Miller, Kevin Emmons wife Nancy, Brian Emmons wife Alice, eleven grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, one sister Lee Caswell, Wanda Beardslee, one brother Ron Dukes, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Peggy is preceded in death by her husband Glen Larry Emmons, father Luther Dukes, mother Altha Wilson Dukes, two sisters Joyce Aerola, Mary Williams, two brothers Jimmy Dukes, Buddy Dukes, and one son in law Joe Miller. Peggy Sue Emmons met the love of her life and got married on June 18, 1955 to the late Glen Larry Emmons. She then had four wonderful children. She loved her family very much. Family was very important to her. Peggy loved to play cards, Bunko with her friends and family. She loved to travel to Las Vegas to play slots and gamble at all the casinos. She loved to travel on land and water also. Going on cruises was one of her favorite ways to travel. She loved the water and the ocean breeze. She got to meet Red Skelton years ago on back stage passes. She loved to talk about that story. She will be deeply missed by all! Funeral services celebrating the life of Peggy Sue Emmons will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 10:00 am at the Goodwin Sievers Funeral Home 524 Broadway Street Vincennes, Indiana. Officiating will be Pastor Trevor Murry. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery Vincennes, Indiana. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Goodwin Sievers Funeral Home Vincennes, Indiana. Pallbearers will be Garret Emmons, Tyler Emmons, Brant Robbins, Daniel Emmons, Matthew Emmons, and Sebastian McEwen.
