Phyllis Butler

Phyllis A. Butler, 89, passed away at 12:43 pm on December 8, 2020 at Emerald Place Assisted living. Phyllis was born on June 2, 1931 in Daviess County the daughter of Roy and Alma (Williams) Templin. She married William M. Butler on December 31, 1952 and he preceded her on June 1, 2011.Phyllis was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church and owned and operated Butler's Catering with her husband Bill out of their garage for many years. She also had worked in medical records at Daviess Community Hospital. Phyllis also enjoyed cooking and walking her two dogs and was very loved by her eighteen grandchildren.Survivors include her children, Anne Good of Lebanon, IN, Paul Butler and Lori E. Butler of Sugar Hill, GA, John Butler and his wife Linda of Mt. Juliet, TN, Joan Russell and her husband Kevin of Washington; Fran Hinkle and her husband Larry of Washington; brother Jim Templin and his wife Carol of Washington; and her eighteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren who loved her very much. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; her husband William; son, Billy; sister, Kay Fowler; and brother, George Templin.Phyllis will be cremated, and her family will have a Mass of Christian burial at a later date.
