Phyllis Marley

Phyllis JoAnn Marley, 80, of Vincennes passed away at 9:35 am Tuesday, February 17, 2020 at Good Samaritan Hospital.She was born May 28, 1939 in Bruceville, Indiana to Phillip and Robertine (Cardinal) Chambers.JoAnn worked as a pharmacy clerk with her husband, Joe Marley, at Moore and Miller Drug Store. She had also worked at Mills Drug Store. JoAnn enjoyed her family as she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. A 1957 graduate of Lincoln High School, she was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and had also attended Bethlehem General Baptist Church. She enjoyed watching gameshows, listening to Alan Jackson, and Roy Rogers.Surviving are her children Mary Levitt of Florida, Joe Marley of Wheatland, Elizabeth Marley and her partner Jeff Paech of Robinson, IL, Kayron Frye of Waukegon, IL, Audie Waggoner and her husband Terry of Three Rivers, GA, Kelly Marley and his wife Ann of Vincennes, and Kerri Watkins and her husband Robert of Washington; her brothers and sisters Jean Peters and her husband Bud of Vincennes, Phil Chambers and his wife Marlene of Vincennes, Jack Chambers and his wife Marsha of Emison, Peggy Roach and her husband Don of Evansville, and Pam Catt and her husband Chuck of Vincennes; along with 28 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren plus one on the way; 21 great-great grandchildren plus two on the way; along with 23 nieces and nephews, and several great and great-great nieces and nephews.Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband Joseph M. Marley who preceded her on October 13, 2014; and two sisters, Roberta Chambers and Bobbie McClaskey.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, February 21, 2020 at Goodwin Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes with Pastor Scott Moreland officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the service on Friday. Memorial contributions may be directed to KCARC.
