Rachel M. Rutledge, 65, of Petersburg, IN, passed away at her home on April 29, 2016.Rachel was a poet and greatly enjoyed music. She was a fan of Red Skelton, and had been a stand-in-actress for the television show, Miami Vice. Making afghans was a favorite activity. She set an example for her family with her sense of humor, strong faith, big heart, and kindness.Born March 23, 1951, in Dallas, TX, she was the daughter of Fred and Mary Meek. Surviving is her husband, Bruce Rutledge; her children, Muriel Sanchez and her husband, Daniel of Alamogordo, New Mexico, Danny Whisenhunt and his wife, Dawn, of Sacramento, CA, and Michael Whisenhunt of Sacramento, CA; her brother, Samuel Meek of Sarasota, FL; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.A graveside service will be conducted on Sunday, at 2:00, at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Petersburg, IN.
