Ralph Pipher, 84, passed away at 5:25 pm on April 23, 2014 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Ralph was born on June 14, 1929, in Vincennes, IN, the son of Samuel and Marie (Dahms). He married Idella Cooper on March 7, 1953, and she preceded him in death on March 7, 2014 on their 61st wedding anniversary.Ralph was a welder for Vincennes Steel for many years and was a member of First Baptist Church. Ralph loved to garden and loved to be outdoors.Survivors include his daughters, Lynda Couch of Bloomington, IN, Lori Switalski and her husband, Robert of Uniontown, OH; grandchildren, Caitlin Couch, Megan Couch, Allison Couch, Karlee Davis, Benjamin Switalski, Kyle Davis, Kinsey Switalski, Kameron Davis; brothers, Bob Pipher of Vincennes, Bill Pipher and his wife Ruby of Vincennes, Larry Pipher of Bloomington, IN, sister, Helen Edwards of Three Oaks, MI; sister-in-law's, Luella Black of Vincennes, Nancy Schaeffer of Vincennes, Helen Twitty of Roswell, GA, Kitty Keller and her husband John of Vincennes, Ginger Wollerman of Vincennes, Dorothy Cooper of Vincennes; brother-in-law, Larry Cooper and his wife Ann of Vincennes; Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Idella Pipher and two sisters, Bea Stevens and Dorothy Brasseur.Funeral services for Ralph will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, with the Rev. Duke Hampsch officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with Ralph's family from 4:00 - 8:00 pm Friday, April 25, 2014 at Goodwin Funeral Home.
