Randall W. "Randy" Turner

April 30, 1944 — November 19, 2023

Randall W. Turner (Randy) passed away peacefully on November 19, 2023, at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, IN.


Randy was born in Princeton, IN on April 30, 1944, to Wilbur and Irene Inez (Belcher) Turner and was an only child. He was born while his father was serving in the US Army in Europe. His hometown was Mt. Carmel, IL.


Randy graduated from Mt. Carmel High School in 1962, Wabash Valley Jr. College and Cannon Trust School at Pepperdine University. He started his banking career with Interstate Finance Company, later named Credithrift of America in 1997. Randy was employed by Security Bank and Trust Company of Vincennes which later merged with Old National Bank. His career include teller, auditor, branch manager and VP of trust. He retired from ONB Wealth Management as VP client advisor. In his career of 46 years, he had many wonderful friendships and clients.


He proudly served in the Indiana Army National Guard as Staff Sergeant. He also had a painting and wall papering business called T & K Decorating with friends for several years.


Randy’s service to the community includes Vincennes Kiwanis Club, Civitan, Southwest Indiana Walk to Emmaus, Harber House Board, Higher Bound Board, and American Cancer Society.


Randy loved serving our lord and savior. He loved teaching Sunday School and leading small groups. His passion was serving God wherever he was needed. For over 60 years he gave service to First Church of God and now at Bethany Christian Church.


Randy loved life to the fullest enjoying simple pleasures. He loved laughter. After retirement his passions were playing golf and riding his motorcycle. Randy loved sports and attending football and basketball games. He loved his friends, especially his Hart St. McDonald’s buddies.


Randy is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Kitty Lynn; daughter, Kristi Lynn Seiber (Tucker) of Clarksville, TN, son; Gregory Randall Turner of Boca Raton, FL; grandchildren, Elyjah, Cross, Kyle (Lorraine), Chris, and Hannah (Isiah); Great grandchildren, Arianna, Kali, Selah, Ivy, Isiah, Gracie and Tucker; mother-in-law, Cecile Fox. Randy loved his family with all his heart.


Preceded in death by parents, Wilbur and Inez Turner; father-in-law Glen Fox; brother-in-law G.A. Fox.


Friends may visit with Randy’s family form 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway St., Vincennes, IN. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, November 27, 2023, at Bethany Christian Church Vincennes Campus, 2011 Willow St., Vincennes, IN. Pastor Matt Merold and Pastor Tom Buchanan will officiate, and Randy will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests you give to Helping His Hands or Bethany Christian Church. Online memories may be shared with Randy’s family and friends at www.goodwinsieversfh.com. The Turner family has requested memorial contributions be made to Helping His Hands, Bethany Christian Church-Vincennes Campus or a charity of the donor's choice.
