Raydell Farrar, 90, of Lawrenceville, IL passed away March 11, 2024. She was born in St. Francisville, IL on September 15, 1933, to the late Leon and Cleora (Humes) Schroyer. Raydell married Forrest Campbell on December 23. 1950, and preceded her in death. She worked as a state certified therapeutic aid for YMCA Betty J. McCormick Center for 28 years. She later married Harvey Farrar in September of 1969 and he also preceded her in death.
Raydell was a member of the Wesslyan Christian Church and the Red Hats Club. In her free time she enjoyed reading and shopping a thrift stores. She will be deeply missed by all.
Raydell is preceded in death by her parents Leon and Cleora Schroyer; husbands Forrest Campbell and Harvey Farrar; daughter Romance Campbell; stepsons Billy, Bobby, Benny, and Bart Farrar; stepdaughter Brenda Wesley; grandchildren Nicole Atkins and Quinton Campbell; great-grandchildren Emithy Harrington, Sedona and Eydie Schultz; brothers Texas Jack and Stanley Schroyer.
She is survived by her children Dixie (Bill) Miller, Gayla Travis, Bill (Brenda) Campbell, Nola (Jim) Davis, Jack (Rene) Campbell, John (Kim) Campbell, Sandy (Bill) Higgins, Jeff (Faith) Farrar; 17 grandchildren; and several great and great-great grandchildren.
Goodwin-Sievers is honored to be entrusted with the care of Mrs. Farrar. Visitation will be held at Hi-Way Church of God on March 15, 2024, from 11 am CST to service time. Funeral service will begin promptly at 1 pm CST with burial at Lawrenceville City Cemetery immediately following.
