Raymond Dale

Raymond L. Dale Jr., 73, of Lawrenceville, IL passed away at home surrounded by his family on March 28, 2022. He was born December 10, 1948, in Quincy, IL to the late Raymond Sr. and Hazel (Baker) Dale. Raymond graduated from Lincoln High School in 1967. He then married, the love of his life, Connie (Horton) Dale on May 4, 1968. Raymond proudly was a member of the United States Army where he served in Korea and guarded the DMZ and Bridge of No Return. Upon his return he owned and operated several different businesses for 18 years. He also worked for Vincennes Welding for 18 years. Raymond enjoyed many things in life such as detailing cars, camping, working on small engines, fixing his golf cart, lawn maintenance, relaxing by the lake, and spending time with animals. Raymond also loved his grandchildren and love and protected his wife. He will be deeply missed by all. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Hubert and Larry Dale; and sister Wilma Smith. He is survived by his wife, of 53 years, Connie Dale; daughters Jennifer Dale and Belinda (Travis) Davis; grandchildren Avery (Bonnie) Haaff, Trevor Lawson, Elizabeth Haaff, Kailey Lawson, Owen Davis, Austin Barker, Jase Davis; and special cat Oliver. Goodwin-Sievers is honored and entrusted with the care of Mr. Dale. Visitation will be held Friday, April 1, 2022, from 4-8pm EST at 524 Broadway St. Vincennes, IN with military honors at 3:30.
