Raymond Earl King, 88, of Vincennes, passed away at 6:54 pm Friday, December 11, 2020 at Lodge of the Wabash.He was born December 4, 1932 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Marshall and Alice (Marley) King.Raymond was retired from Duke Energy and was a member of the Monroe City First Church of God. He also was a member of the Masonic Lodge for over 60 years where he was Past Master of Vincennes Lodge #1. Raymond was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed watching college basketball on tv, especially the Indiana Hoosiers. He also was an accomplished wood worker and loved spending time in his workshop making items for family and friends.Surviving are his wife Brenda (Hoops) King whom he married on November 21, 1986; children Mary Susan Ellis and her husband Tony of Jasonville, Steven King and his wife Beth Ann of Avon, and Richard King and his wife Lynn of Bluffton; his step-children Ken Osborn and his wife Peggy of Vincennes, and Tracey Reed and her husband James of Monroe City; a brother Robert King of Ocala, Florida; along with nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.Preceding Raymond in death were his parents; his first wife Betty Jo (Gastineau) King; a brother Marshall King Jr. and sisters Phyllis Epperson and Maxine Knoy.Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Fairview Cemetery in Linton, Indiana.
