Rhoda Belle Gibson

Rhoda Belle Gibson, 85 years old, left this earth on January 9th, 2024. Rhoda was born on February 4, 1938, to Thomas Ralph Titus and Lillian Altona (Wollam) Titus. She was number 5 out of 10 kids. After graduating from Bloomfield High School, she pursued a career as a beautician. She then furthered her education at Vincennes University graduating as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1979.

She spent most of her nursing career in geriatrics. Rhoda was over the CNA program at Good Samaritan Nursing Home, where she trained several individuals and even encouraged some to further their career in nursing.

She met and married the love of her life, Jack Gibson, on November 1st, 1959. They were blessed with two boys, Mark and Shannon Gibson.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack and son, Mark.

Survivors include her son, Shannon, her grandchildren Jessica Miller, Christina Perkins, Chyanne Gibson, Kristian Gibson, her two beloved grandson-in-laws, Rob Miller, and Levi Perkins. Her great grandchildren: Brookie, Ryno, Coalton, Olivia, and Addie.

In lieu of flowers, family ask that you donate to ViaQuest of Linton, Indiana and Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Visitation will be held Saturday,  January 20, 2024, at 524 Broadway St. from 11am to service time. Service time will begin promptly at 1pm with burial at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN following immediately.
