Richard Grissom

October 26, 1955 — February 17, 2021

Dad went to be with Jesus and his sister Theresa, Wednesday February 17th at 2:30 am at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville IN. Born October 26th 1955 to Frances "Grissom" Troutman in Marion County, IN. He married the love of his life Kathy "Wraley" Grissom on Aug. 6th 1977.Dad just retired in Dec. of 2020 from Perdue Farms, Inc. as a housing supervisor for 35 yrs. He was prepared to live the best retirement ever. He bought his new Golfing ride and we were going to have the best year ever of mushroom hunting and just relaxing with his 2nd loves of his lives. His wonderful kids and amazing grandkids and his best friend MOMOur family will never be the same. He leaves broken hearted wife Kathy Grissom, mother, Frances Troutman of Washington, IN, 3 stubborn kids and 5 amazing grandkids that he would do anything for. Miranda Grissom and James Carey of Oakland City, IN, Kelli Grissom of Washington IN, and Ricky Grissom of Bloomington, IN. His pride and joys: Jalen Edwards, Jace Drew, Kaden Grissom, Ella Grissom and Grace Drew all of Washington, IN. He had the best sisters and brothers in the world. Rhonda (Jeremy) Stewart of Greenfield, Steve (Stephanie) Troutman of Montgomery, Michelle (Mike) Pennell of Loogootee. Sister in Laws Lynn (Tony) Gray of Vincennes, IN Sarah Wraley of Bloomington, IN. Brothers in Law Jay (Debbie) Wraley of Louisville, KY and Steve Wraley of Spark, NV. Tons of Nieces and Nephews that he loved with everything he had. My dad had the best friends in this entire world that would he adored: Bob Underwood, Bubba Kennedy, Denny Hughes, Tony Klumper, Jimmy Lloyd, the Perdue Crew and especially co-workers Tom Shaffer and Dave Dilger. His softball family, is basketball family, his many aunts & uncles, cousins, sister in laws, brother in laws, cousins that were grandkids to him everyone else that he ever worked with and came in contact with as well. We will all see you on the other side Papaw.He is preceded in death by his sister Theresa Troutman, Uncle Donald, and Aunt Linda TroutmanFriends may visit with Dick's family from 11:00 am until the hour of service time of 2:00 pm on Monday, February 22, 2021 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State St., Washington, IN.
