Richard Hartzburge

Richard Thomas "Tom" Hartzburge, 81, passed away at 12:33 pm on Sunday January 4, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Tom was born on December 17, 1933 in Vincennes the son of Thomas Richard and Hilda (Zich) Hartzburge. He married Yvonne Porter on June 4, 1955 and she preceded him in death on April 25, 2012.Tom served his country in the United States Army and worked as a salesman for LVS Foods. He was a member of the American Legion and Ducks Unlimited and enjoyed hunting and fishing.Survivors include his son, Ed Hartzburge and his wife Windy of Vincennes, brother, Fred Hartzburge and his wife Jane of Vincennes, sister, Sue Kotter and her husband Bob of Evansville, sister, Bernie Mansfield and husband Jerry of Indianapolis, grandchildren, Elizabeth Davison and her husband Patrick, Aaron Hartzburge, Victoria Harmon and great granddaughter, Cathlene Warren. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Yvonne Hartzburge, daughter, Renea Harmon and sister, Ruth Doss.Funeral services for Tom will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 7, 2014 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway with Pastor Nathan Rastl officiating. Entombment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery Tower II Mausoleum where the All Weather Firing Squad will conduct Military honors. Friends may visit with Toms family on Wednesday from 11:00 am until the hour of service time of 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
