Rita Ellermann

Rita F. Ellermann, 78, passed away at 8:55 pm on December 12, 2019 at Bridge Pointe Health Campus. Rita was born on April 27, 1941 in Knox County, the daughter of Arthur M. and Dorothy (Donnersburger) Lane. She married Arnold "Sonny" Ellermann on September 21, 1957 and they celebrated sixty-two years of marriage together.Rita attended Decker High School, was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church and helped her husband Sonny with anything that needed done on the farm. She loved flowers, gardening, crafts, baking and really enjoyed Facetiming and keeping in touch with all of her grandchildren. Rita also loved her dogs.Survivors include her husband, Arnold "Sonny" Ellermann of Decker; her children, Rod Ellermann and his wife Sherry of Bridgeport, IL. Douglas Ellermann of Indianapolis, IN, Lori Holscher and her husband Patrick of Decker; brother Keith Lane and his wife Tina of Louisville; thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Rita was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Steven Arthur Lane and her granddaughter, Elaina Ellermann Stoll.Friends may visit with Rita's family from 11:00 am until the hour of service time of 2:00 pm on Monday, December 16, 2019 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Pastor Nathan Rastl will officiate and Rita will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice, 601 S. 9th St., Vincennes, IN 47591.
