Rita Hendrixson

Rita T. Hendrixson, 71, Vincennes, passed away at 2:06 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2011 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Born September 4, 1939, in Vincennes, she was the daughter of Henry and Teresa (Rinderle) Bauer. Rita was a registered nurse and had worked for Good Samaritan Hospital, Dr. Jacqmain and Dosher Hospital in Southport, NC. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She owned a gift shop in North Carolina which featured her own hand painted pecan figurines and many different types of Santas.Survivors include sisters, Rose Anna Staley and Mary Tolliver both of Vincennes and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents and brother, Bob Bauer.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, May 26, at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Jason Gries celebrating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
