Rita Mogabgab

Rita Annette (Jones) Mogabgab died on Sept. 24, 2012 at her home in Oaktown, IN, at the age of 61. She was born in New Orleans, LA, on July 19, 1951, to the late Lamar Chester Jones, Sr., and Eva Mae (Holston) Jones. Annette was married to the late Stephen Anees Mogabgab for over 35 years. A long term Northshore native, Mrs. Mogabgab attended St. Martin's Episcopal School and Louisiana State University. She was an active member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, Junior League of New Orleans, and the Knox County Chapter of the Sweet Potato Queens. Preceding her in death was her son, Jason Paul Mogabgab. Surviving is her daughter, Eva Anees (Mogabgab) Snapp, and her husband Jeffrey Kyle Snapp, of Oaktown, IN; grandchildren, Stephen Clay Mogabgab Burkett, Eva Sloane Snapp, and Samantha Jean Snapp; her sisters, Eva Jaunea Ford, Leta Paulette Barbles, and Brenda Karol Vallejo; and a brother, Lamar Chester Jones, Jr. She will be missed by many in-laws, and nieces and nephews. Annette will be laid to rest in Lakelawn Cemetery in Metairie, Louisiana.
