Robert Almy

Robert "Bob" L. Almy, 81, of Vincennes, passed away September 14, 2014, at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville, IN. Bob was a lifelong farmer, and a 1951 graduate of Decker Chapel High School. He also owned rental properties, and had done carpentry and electrical work. Born June 11, 1933 in Vincennes, IN, he was the son of Harry and Jannie (O'Brien) Almy. His parents; his first wife, Wilma Sue (Lee) Almy, who passed away in 1994, and whom he had married in 1954; a brother, Alfred Almy; and a sister Helen Mae Wood, preceded him. Surviving is his wife, Nancy (Tislow) Almy; his daughters, Carol Slater, and Sharon Mize, and her husband, Jessie; his son, William Almy , and his wife, Jana; grandchildren, Jaredith Mize and his wife Anne, Matthew Slater, Sarah Moore and her husband, Bruce; LeTisha Garcia and her husband Amilcar; Zachary Almy, Joshua Almy, and Jacob Almy; and his great-grandchildren, Aiden Mize, Makaylee Moore, Yesica Garcia, Zane Moore, Hailey Garcia, Bentley Moore, Sophia Garcia, and Cameron Lee Moore. Bob's funeral will be held at 2:00, on Thursday, at Goodwin Funeral Home. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 - 2:00 on Thursday. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
