Robert "Bob" Hendrixson

Robert E. "Bob" Hendrixson, 87, of Vincennes, IN, passed away May 24, 2018, at his home.Bob had worked for 56 years for E.H. Montgomery Construction Co. He was an estimator, superintendent, and vice-president. For almost 70 years he held his union card through Plasterers and Cement Masons #114, which eventually became #692.He had served as a deacon and elder at the Reel Avenue Christian Church. An avid outdoorsman, he excelled in archery. Bob enjoyed bow hunting, fishing, and hunting. A past-president of the Tecumseh Bow Hunters Club, he also belonged to the Pike County Bow Hunters Club. Bob was a member of the NRA.Born September 20, 1930, in Vincennes, IN, he was the son of Harvey and Mary (Mitchell) Hendrixson. His parents; his wife, Naomi Ruth (Deckard) Hendrixson, whom he married July 11, 1948 and who passed away October 30, 2008; a great-grandson, Keenan Marcus Young Riley; and his brothers, Harvey, Paul, Tom, David, and Walter Hendrixson preceded him.Surviving are his children, Pamela Curry and her husband, Brian, of Sandborn, IN, Linda Gail Webber and her husband, Robert Webber II of Vincennes, IN, Robert "Mike" Hendrixson and his wife, April of Vincennes, and Rodney Hendrixson of Vincennes; his grandchildren, Lori Curry-Lundy and her husband, Bill, Robert John Curry and his wife, Shannon, James Grey Curry and his wife, Robin, Melissa Neuman, Roger Curry, Jason E. Young and his wife, Michelle, Rhonda Lynn Young and her husband, Craig, and Sean Michael Hendrixson; and his great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Lundy, Kristen Lundy, Megan Lundy, Madison Curry, Payton Curry, Alec Jamison Curry, Brendan Gabriel Curry, Justin Young, Jared Young, Jackson Rhyse, Noah Andrew McNally, and Kaly Makena Hendrixson.Friends may visit with Bob's family from 4:00 - 8:00 on Monday, at Goodwin Funeral Home. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, at 2:00, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.Donations may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice, the National Stroke Association, or the Alzheimer's Association.
