Robert Davis

Robert E. Davis, 73, passed away at his residence at 4:54pm on April 8, 2021. Bob was born on January 20, 1948 in Washington. He was the son of Arthur Norman and Geneva (Jett) Davis. He married Patricia J. Fields on July 13, 1973 and she survives.Bob had been a welder for Railway and a train engineer for Crane Naval Depot. He was a graduate of Washington High school and served his country in the United States Navy from 1968-1972. Bob loved fishing, hunting, and sports, especially IU basketball. He also was a diehard Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan.Survivors include his wife, Patricia Davis of Washington; his mother, Geneva Davis of Columbus, IN; his children, Kim Stone, Kenny Latham, Chet Latham, Rodney Latham, all of Washington; sister, Janie Copple of Columbus, IN; twenty-three grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his father Arthur Norman Davis.Friends may visit with Bob's family from 10 am until 2 pm on Monday, April 12, 2021 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State St., Washington, IN 47501. Pastor Tom Watson will officiate Bob's funeral service beginning at 2:00 pm on Monday at the funeral home and he will be laid to rest in St. John's Cemetery.
