Robert Dean

Robert E. Dean, 81, Vincennes, went to be home with his Lord and Savior October 7th, 2012. He was born May 2, 1931 in Mt. Carmel, Illinois; he was the son of Sam and Connie (Dixon) Dean.Robert worked for Kroger Company for 43 years and was known as "Sam the meat man". He was a faithful member of the Free Methodist Church. He was a lay speaker for his Lord. He spoke at several local churches, Colonial Assistant Living, French Town, and Bridgepointe. Those who will cherish his memory are his wife of 62 years, Maxine (Miller) Dean, daughter, Bonnie, sister in law, Kay Woods of Vincennes, brother, David (Jean) of Marietta, Ga, Granddogs (Abby and Molly), and several adopted grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.Greeting him in heaven are his daughter, Kathy Dean, his parents, his special friend, Joe Cunningham, and other loved ones.Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. EDT Thursday October 11, 2012 at Highland Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Don Fausnaugh officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 EDT Wednesday at Goodwin Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southern Care Hospice.
