Robert Eck

Robert "Bob" Lane Eck, 67, of Washington, Indiana, passed away on March 19, 2022, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. He was born on February 21, 1955, to the late Daniel Lane Eck and Roberta Carol (Young) Eck, in Colorado Spring, Colorado. Bob was a 1973 graduate of Washington High School. After high school, he attended one semester at Indiana University and Vincennes University. He then enrolled in Mortuary School at the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Sciences and obtained his Associates Degree in Mortuary Sciences. Shortly after graduating, Bob worked for Pemberton Funeral Home in Commerce, Texas for seven years. After his tenure at Pemberton Funeral Home, he accepted a position at Gill Funeral Home in Washington, Indiana, as a funeral director where he finished his mortuary career. Bob was a proud member of the Corvette Club and was especially proud of his Corvette Pace Car. On December 28, 1997, Bob married Nora (Demsky) Eck. They spent over 20 years together. Surviving Bob is his wife, Nora Eck, his brother, Donald Eck (Jeannie), his sister, Carol McVay (Ralph), two nieces, two nephews, several great nieces and nephews, and his stepdaughter, Karen King (Nathan). He was preceded in death by his parents, his sons, Jonathon and Damian, his brother, Charles Eck, and his nephew Daniel. There will be a memorial service for Bob held at a later date.
