Robert Farren

Robert Lewis Farren of Washington passed away at 7:39 pm on May 18, 2017 at his home in Vincennes. Robert was born October 27, 1941 in Daviess County the son of William and Leona (VanWinkle) Farren.Robert served eleven years in the Indiana National Guard in Washington and loved his job as a farm hand working for the late Denny Murphy and Judeanne Murphy Delaney at Murphy Farms in Montgomery, IN.Robert is survived by his children, Amy Wright of Vincennes, Darrell Farren of Virginia Beach, VA, Brenda Wieling and her husband Alan of Vincennes, and Roberta Hartsburg and her husband Gaylord of Moores Hill, IN; son-in-law, Russell Dove of New Palestine, IN; twelve grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren; and siblings, Bill Farren and his wife Judy of Washington, Kay Walls and her significant other John Brown of Washington, Jim Farren of Washington; and many nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, William and Leona (VanWinkle) Farren, son-in-law, William "Willie" Wright, daughter, Darlene (Farren) Dove, very dear friend, Denny Murphy, sister, Florence "Peggy" McDonald, and great grandson, Rhett James Hartsburg.Robert's funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Bethany Christian Church, 1139 IN 57, Washington, IN with Ron Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in Bethany Cemetery. Friends may visit with Roberts family from 11 am until the hour of service time of 1:00 pm at Bethany Christian Church on Tuesday. Goodwin Funeral Home of Vincennes has been entrusted with Robert's final arrangements.
