Robert Hawkins

Robert Wilson Hawkins, 61, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, August 21, 2013. Robert was born on March 7, 1953 in Vincennes the son of Robert Edward and Vera Kathleen (Ivers) Hawkins.Robert was a truck driver having worked several years for Wabash Coffee and most recently for Elmer Buchta Trucking. He was a member of the Calvary Apostolic Church in Lawrenceville, IL and enjoyed Fishing, hunting, NASCAR and sports in general. Robert was a diehard Cincinnati Bengals and John Wayne fan.Survivors include his son, Blair Hawkins of Jasper, IN; daughter, Truce Arnold and her husband Tracey of Vincennes; daughter, Heather Pummel and her husband Robert of Lawrenceville, IL; son, Shawn Hawkins and his wife Alyssa of Jasper, IN; brother, Rodney Hawkins of Vincennes; sister, Kim Taylor of Jasper, IN; twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Kathleen LaneFuneral services for Robert will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Gardner-Brockman Funeral Home, 505 Main St. with Pastor Jason Donaldson officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with Robert's family from 11:00 am until the hour of service time of 1:00 pm on Tuesday at the funeral Home.
