Robert Lane

Robert "Robbie" Lane, 72, of Bicknell, Indiana passed away on March 1, 2023. He was born on September 20, 1950 and was the son of Charles and Evelyn (Schnuck) Lane. Robbie married the love of his life, Rebecca (Blagrave) Lane on September 14, 1974, and she preceded him in death on January 27, 2023. Robbie loved his family and enjoyed every moment of being a father and grandpa. He was very active in his community, as he was not only a member but also volunteered with the Rotary, Bicknell Manor Board, The United Way, YMCA, RSVP, and Generations. In his spare time he liked to bowl, golf, fish, hunt, be outdoors, play cards, and spend time with his neighbors and his favorite chocolate lab, Molly. Robbie is survived by his children, Jamie (Ethan) Singleton and Charlie (Liz Jenkins) Lane; grandchildren, Reid and Lane Singleton and Evelyn and Alexander Lane; sister, Judy Wilkes; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Lane; parents, Charles and Evelyn Lane; and sister Marycele Dillion. Visitation will be held Friday, March 10, 2023 from 12:00 pm to 3:30 pm at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning promptly at 3:30 pm. Pastor John McClure will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made through the United Knox County website at https://www.unitedwayofknoxcounty.org/donate-knox-county.
