Robert Mair

Robert Von Mair, 70, of Owensville, IN went to be with the Lord May 23, 2022. He was born February 10, 1952 in Mt. Carmel, IL to the late Charles David Mair Sr. and Alvetta Rose (Parker) Ricker. Bob attended Owensville High School and was in the graduating class of 1970. He proudly served his country in the US Army from 1970 -1978. Bob married his high school sweetheart, Cyra Beth (Hopf), April 24, 1971. They were blessed with 50 years of marriage before Beth was called home to the Lord. He worked as a self employed truck driver for many years. Bob was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, and most importantly spending time with his grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; wife Cyra Beth Mair; and infant children Jamie Lynn and Brian Michael. He is survived by son Chad (Jessica) Mair; grandchildren Greta Mair, Briar Mair, and another little Mair on the way; siblings Charles (Debra) Mair Jr., John (Susan) Ricker, Joey (Ellen) Ricker, Harvey (Mary Ann) Ricker Jr, Julie Perkins, and Pamela Mair. Holder's Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Mair. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Poseyville, IN at 1pm with Father Ed Schnur as celebrant. Visitation will be held Tuesday at Holder's Funeral Home 319 S. Main St. Owensville from 10a-12p. Interment will be in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church Cemetery with Military honors.
