Bob Mize, 77 passed away at 5:25 am on November 9, 2015 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville. Bob was born on August 21, 1938 in Monroe City, IN the son of Robert Sr. and Lelah (Harrell) Mize. Bob married Jewel Rowe on January 20, 1956. Bob was a member of First Baptist Church and was involved in the Seekers of the Word Sunday school class there. He owned Mize Construction doing railroad maintenance. He later owned and operated Country Candle. Bob enjoyed his grandchildren and loved showing horses. Survivors include his wife Jewel Mize of Monroe City; daughter, Robin Montgomery and her husband Ross; grandchildren, Brittany Montgomery, Bailey Montgomery, Jade Montgomery; great grandchildren, Kyndall Myers, Piper Lewis, Madison Montgomery; brother, Don Mize and his wife Ann of Monroe City; nieces and nephews, Donnie Mize, Jr. of Monroe City, Michael Mize of Monroe City, Annette Mize of Monroe City; and great nieces, Allyson and Alaynie. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Connie Mize, and his grandson, Mitch Montgomery. Funeral services for Bob will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway with Ron Small officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Friends may visit with Bob's family from 4-7 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Baptist Church Seekers of the Word Sunday School Class.
