Robert Sharpe

Robert Lee Sharpe, 91, of Vincennes, passed away at 1:45 pm Tuesday, February 18, 2019 at GentleCare Nursing Center.He was born March 27, 1927 in Vincennes to Opal Marie Bond.Robert retired after 39 years at Packaging Corporation as a forklift operator and was a member of the American Legion. He served his country in the Army during the Korean War.Surviving are his children, Vicki Mains and her husband Greg of Vincennes, Steven Sharpe of Vincennes and Martha Marie Sinnett of Vincennes; along with five grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his mother; his wife, Ruth Evelyn (Thomas) Sharpe; and a sister, Rita Jean Sherman.Private graveside services will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Trevor Murry officiating. Military rites will be provided by the American Legion-VFW- 40et8 All Weather Firing Squad. Goodwin Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Robert Sharpe.
