Robert Sweeney

November 9, 1971 — January 29, 2024

With profound sorrow, we announce the departure of our beloved Robert Sweeney, who left us on January 29, 2024. Born on November 9, 1971, in Lakewood, NJ, Robert lived a life that was as vibrant and endearing as his personality. A funny soul, Robert could light up any room with his genuine humor and quick wit. He was truly one of a kind, and his legacy will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege to know him.

Robert was a humble, loving, and loyal man who lived his life to the fullest, with an unquenchable zest for adventure. His love for camping and fishing was only surpassed by his love for people. Robert's kindness knew no bounds, he was always the first to lend a helping hand to anyone in need

Robert resided in Vincennes, Indiana. He is survived by his loving sister, Bonnie Dosier, and his brother, Jeffrey Sweeney; nephews, Joshua Noble and Cody Noble. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Gerald and Patricia Sweeney. Robert never married, but he devoted his love and loyalty to his family and friends, who were always his foremost priority.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 12, 2024 at 10:00 am at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Monroe City, Indiana.

As we remember Robert, we invite you to share your memories, stories, and photos on his memorial page. His story is not just about the end, but about a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and kindness. We encourage you to celebrate Robert's life and the happiness he brought into ours. As we bid farewell to Robert, we remember the words of Dr. Seuss, "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." Robert Sweeney happened to us, and for that, we are forever grateful. May his soul rest in peace.
