Robert Tipton

Rev. Robert "Bob" E. Tipton, 59, of Vincennes, IN passed away April 22, 2021, at Good Samaritan Hospital.Bob was born in Toledo, OH and raised by Elsworth and Alberta Tipton. He graduated from Defiance High School in Defiance, OH and attended Warner Southern College in Lake Wales, FL. He went on to serve the Lord at many churches and was presently serving at Morris Chapel UMC in Oaktown, IN.Bob had a passion for sports, especially football, and loved the Indianapolis Colts and Ohio State Buckeyes. He had a laugh that would fill the room. He also enjoyed driving his bus route for Flaget Elementary and Rivet Middle/High School.He was preceded by his wife, Chrisy, whom he married June 11, 1992, and who passed away December 2, 2016. Bob is survived by his daughter, Sarah Lowery and her husband, Shane, of Westfield, IN; 3 grandsons, Matt, Eli, and Ben; his brothers, Calvin (Linda) Tipton, Doug (Geri) Tipton, both of Ohio, and Dave (Charlene) Wirth of Kentucky; and a sister, Sue Wirth-Dumke of Ohio.Friends may visit with Bob's family from 11:00 - 1:00 on Thursday at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway St., in Vincennes. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 on Thursday at the funeral home.
