Robert Turpin

Robert J. Turpin, 66 of 1828 Broadway, passed away at 11:50 p.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Robert was born on July 17, 1945 in Knox County, Indiana the son of James C. and Mary E. (Martin) Turpin. He married Joyce Blair on July 7, 2000 and she survives. Robert was a truck driver and a breakdown manager for Bestway Trucking. He was of the Christian Faith and was a member of the 40 et 8; American Legion; VFW; Moose; Eagles and the FOP. He enjoyed fishing and loved horses. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Turpin of Vincennes; mother, Mary E. Turpin of Vincennes; daughter, Jennifer Jackson and her companion Jim Cardinal Jr.; sons, Jim Turpin and his wife Hermina of Vincennes; Dan Turpin and his wife Shannan of Vincennes; stepdaughter's, Tracie Frye and her husband Adrian Borjas of Deerfield, KS; Billie Palmer and her husband, Bill of Lawrenceville, IL; Fransisca Luna and her husband Otoniel of Vincennes; step-son's, Isaac Luna of Lakin, KS; Fidencio Luna and his wife Elizabeth of New Monroe, LA; 23 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Robert was preceded in death by his father and 1 sister Ruth Earlene Turpin. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, with the Rev.
